Use WPF Layout Controls to define layout rather than
explicit position/size settings. APL/W GUI adepts will be
familiar with Posn Size and Attach and know that they can be used to
handle form resizes quite flexibly - but this does seem to be one area
which is better-covered by WPF.
There are a lot more intrinsic properties for a WPF control, some of
them will do for you what you might have been accustomed to doing
yourself with the native APL/W GUI (for example, wrapping in a TextBox
Equally, you can get WPF to do the work of simple callbacks (for
example changing background colour when the mouse is moved into a
WPF Isn't APL/W
sometimes the names are the same, there isn't a one-to-one
correspondence between APF and APL/W GUI controls; it's a mistake to
try and act as if there were. Study the WPF documentation and
explore what you can do - that way there may be a richer GUI just
around the corner.
